Gym Rules:
Spectators
Parents and other spectators, please remain in the viewing area. All spectators must check a spectator waiver due to the open format of our facility.
Student Conduct
1. All students must have a waiver correctly filled out and on file to participate in classes at The Movement Park.
2. All injuries (no matter how minor) should be reported to the instructor or front desk before leaving.
Class Rules

3. Do not move any equipment unless asked by an instructor.
4. Students arriving early to class may wait in the spectator area unless otherwise instructed.
5. Water breaks are for getting water. All students will be asked to leave the floor during water breaks. Do not climb on the equipment during water breaks. Please bring your own water bottle and store it in a cubby.
Class, Open Gym, & Recess Rules
1. Respect yourself. Respect others. Respect your environment.
9. Practice our awareness triangle. Be aware of yourself, others, and your environment.
10. No physical contact. This includes helping people up or over obstacles.
11. “Blue Rule” You may only go on our tallest dark blue obstacles if you’ve passed an instructor assessment.
12. Mats are for landing on. Do not run across or linger on the mats or lay down on mats.
13. Only one person on a mat at a time.
14. All personal belongings should be stored in the cubbies or within one foot of the base of the cubbies. The Movement Park is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Lost and found is cleared every 30 days.
15. Profanity will not be tolerated.
16. Wear athletic clothing. No belts or buckles, please. No boots, slip-on, or heels (any kind) on the movement floor.
17. Wipe your shoes on the rug provided before entering the movement space.
18. No chewing gum, food, or drink outside the viewing area.
19. Any behavior that is unsafe, destructive, or hinders the training of other students will be met with a warning. Individuals who continue this behavior after being given a warning may be asked by a staff member to leave the gym floor and sit in the viewing area.
20. Do not jump across a gap at the same time someone else is jumping.
21. Only one person per rope at a time.
22. Do not sit or lie down on the equipment.
Open Gym Rules
The above, plus:
1. To attend Open Gym you must be in a parkour class AND be 10 years old or older OR with a participating adult. Students allowed under 10 yrs will be assessed case by case.
2. Open Gym is a time for training. This is not a playground, park, or daycare.
3. The on-duty instructor is there to supervise, not to teach.
4. No “Tag” or chasing.
5. The highest level of the structures (top of warped wall & playhouse roof) is only accessible to those who have passed an instructor assessment.
7. Do not use the truss or bars unless you have learned and can perform a breakfall and know how to re-grip. Breakfalls are taught in our classes and during private lessons.
8. No throwing, standing on, or running into people with anything.
9. If you are jumping from a height from which you have never jumped, or doing a lache or underbar in a new location, use an appropriate mat for landing.
When in doubt, always use a mat and ask an instructor which one you should use.
